With FarThings, pennies change lives. Our iOS App literally lets everybody help everybody! Your double-taps and likes are finally worth something.
FarThings is a crowdfunded social-network for regular everyday people to post a wish for help and a place where, for the first time ever, literally ANYONE can help back!
How? Because we are not asking for your dollars, we know not everyone can afford to give dollars but everyone can give up a penny; they usually dont want them anyways. We really want to show you the difference your cents can make. Hope that makes sense.
To put it simply, imagine when you like someones post on Facebook or Instagram your like automatically meant that you just gave a penny to that person. Next, imagine for instance some of those heart-wrenching posts you see all over social media, like Humans of New York for example. Dont you sometimes wish you can help that person? We do too! We also noticed that some posts get over 500,000 likes. So if 500,000 likes meant 500,000 pennies, that would equal $5,000! Whoa, pennies can add up quickly.
So basically with the FarThings App we provide a platform for people to come together and help each other! Hey everybody needs a little helping hand sometimes... it can be something big or small.
...maybe you get paid in a week and you broke your bicycle wheel, AND your a bike messenger! Post your wish on FarThings. Youll find people who can feel your pain and if they double-tap your post and you get a penny. You just wait until the likes add up and you have enough to get another wheel. Thats it.
...or maybe you dont even have a job and have an upcoming job interview and cant afford money for a decent tie and shoes. Post a wish on FarThings.
...or you might just be a struggling college student and need a little helping hand for school supplies or textbooks. Post a wish on FarThings.

You can post a wish and ask for ANYTHING really.. the steps are simple:

1. So go and download FarThings when we launch on December 15th.
2. Make a new profile or login through Facebook.
3. If you want to make a wish, just post it.
4. If you want to be a Giver just put a $1 into your Farthings profile. A single dollar lets you help a 100 different people! That is pretty amazing.
5. Now you can scroll down and tap on different wishes and help different people as much as you want.

Seriously, helping people and being charitable has never been easier than this!
